ABOUT SAMANTHA
I am very excited to begin this journey with you to discovering your best self. I want to join you on your path and help you clarify your goals for both yourself and your family. I understand that we all need a kind spirit and listening ear to help us along on our journeys, and I hope to be that for you. I want to help you with strategies to bring your family closer together, as you navigate the challenges that life throws our way.
After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Studio Art from the University of New Hampshire, I went on to pursue my Master’s in Counseling at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. I continued to follow my passion for helping other women grow through gaining my Health Coach certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. My love for learning led me to a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Counseling at Montclair State University in 2021. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor, as well as having specific training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I am always looking to learn and grow as a therapist so I can help my clients in the best way possible through continuing education and training.
In my personal life, I love playing tennis, paddle boarding, hiking, and skiing with my family. I also love being crafty and creative, and spending time with friends.
APPROACH TO THERAPY
I work from a person centered perspective and want to empower you to live up to your potential. I believe each individual has the power to create their own story. As a therapist I want to help you create positive change in your life.
I believe therapy is always collaborative, and I want to assist you in building on your strengths, and creating positive habits that contribute to your goals. I want to help you find coping mechanisms that work for you to improve your emotional health. My goal is to help you to rediscover your passion and create a life that you enjoy living everyday.
PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH
I have been trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International, and am passionate about working with women who are going through the transition to motherhood. This life transition has been painted with a broad stroke of bliss and joy, but in reality it can be very isolating and confusing. I have a passion for working with women looking to find their joy and rediscover themselves so they can continue supporting the people they love.
