Mental Health Counseling is so much more than a career to me. When I sit in the counseling room with my clients, I feel that I am accomplishing my purpose in life: helping people. I believe every person’s story is worth sharing, because within that story is always profound meaning just waiting to be discovered. My role, as counselor, is to listen to each unique story with empathy and compassion as I provide support, awareness, encouragement, and ultimately hope. I believe that the counseling process is more than just removing unwanted symptoms; it is a way to reveal new possibilities to allow you to become the best version of yourself!

When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my family, reading lots of books, doing Peloton bootcamps, and listening to good music!

I have been fortunate to have gained experience in clinical settings working primarily with adolescents and young adults. Through the years, I have implemented research based interventions for children with learning disabilities and other special needs.

In addition, I have provided therapeutic services to adults with marital conflicts, career changes, eating disorders, and more. My ultimate passion is helping people understand their purpose and find meaning in life. I strongly believe that creating a therapeutic atmosphere where my clients feel comfortable and safe is the key to effective therapy. I generally utilize an interactive, strength-based counseling approach to help my client’s foster self-awareness, personal growth and improve their decision-making skills. However, I recognize that each person is unique and requires an individualized approach to counseling. Therefore, I do everything possible to tailor every session to the individual needs of each amazing person that walks through my door!
