ABOUT KATIE
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I strongly believe that people often need help finding the courage to work through stressors in life. We need a helping hand or someone to work with us during times of challenge and I am happy to be your co-pilot! Often in session, I tell my clients that I am here with them on this journey and that we are in this together.

Outside of the office, I love watching movies and TV shows. I have a rescue dog named Marlowe who has a massive personality and I love playing video games, cooking, and reading.

APPROACH TO THERAPY
I value my clients immensely and provide a nonjudgmental and supportive environment for everyone that walks through my door. I graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with my Bachelor’s of Social Work and then went on to earn my Master’s of Social Work from Fordham University. I have extensive experience working with populations struggling with anxiety disorders, substance abuse dependence, and mood disorders. My goal for my clients is to experience positive change in their lives through the use of a collaborative treatment approach.

I focus mainly on client-centered and strengths-based treatment. I have experience working with cognitive behavioral therapy and problem-solving techniques. Other areas of interest include self-esteem building, working with members of the LGBTQIA+ population, and the difficult transitions we often have to face in life.
